Ectopic adrenal oncocytoma simulating a segment I tumor: A case report

Oncocytomas are tumors consisting exclusively or almost of oncocytic cells. Their localization in the adrenal gland and especially ectopic is extremely rare. It often a benign tumor, non-functional fortuitous discovery. We report case 48 year old female patient who presented with abdominal pain. The general examination showed good condition, vitals were normal, physical was normal. CT MRI scans favor segment I HCC. Surgical exploration found 4cm mass on anterior aspect inferior vena cava under liver. A resection flush performed. postoperative course simple. Anatomopathological concluded that an oncocytoma.Ectopic oncocytoma very rare benign. Its treatment always surgical its diagnosis based histological immunochemical studies.
